As a Catholic community, we motivate our students to reach their unique, God- given potential spiritually, intellectually and emotionally.

To do this, we strive to provide a safe, nurturing, and Christ-like atmosphere conducive to maximum growth. We offer many positive opportunities and activities in and out of the classroom in which students experience success and feel connected to community. Resources and varied programs are offered to support children’s utmost learning and development.

Students are encouraged to use individual goal setting and self-reflection, and are motivated to achieve high standards. As a result, they acquire positive life-long habits, responsibility, and respect for self, others, and our diverse society. They learn this through self-discipline and accountability in all areas.

Growing in their knowledge, skills, and talents, students develop love of God, self, and others. Students are connected to their Catholic faith and parish ministry through an emphasis on the centrality of the Eucharist, prayer, sacraments, and social service to others. Our students learn the core beliefs of our religion, prepare, and participate in liturgical celebrations, and faith share. Students’ Catholic faith is, therefore, more than a mere memorization of facts and recitation of prayers. Students are called to demonstrate their faith daily.

Our Catholic faith then becomes a lived life-long reality for the students and the whole community. All members of St. Alphonsus are responsible for modeling the Catholic faith inspired by the Gospel message.
