Decisions regarding admission to St. Alphonsus School shall be made without regard to a student’s race, sex, or national origin.  However, this school does give preference to Catholic students registered in this Parish; secondly, to Catholic students registered in other Parishes; and thirdly, to non-Catholics.  All students being considered for admission will be tested to determine placement. Students entering grades two through eight will be admitted on academic and disciplinary probation.

All students new to our school, including kindergarten students, must be tested before being considered for admission.  Please call the school at (323) 268-5165 to make an appointment for your child to be tested.  The testing fee is $25.00 and must be paid the day of testing.  Please note, early testing increases the chances of your child’s placement.  You must bring the application packet and return it with copies of these mandatory documents:  

• Baptismal Certificate
  
• Birth Certificate
  
• Immunization Record (Yellow card)
  
• Health Record (Physical)
  
• Previous School Information (i.e. most recent report card)
