Dear Parents,
Spartan Spirituality – Our students have demonstrated their love of God in action. Last week, our students participated in Jump for Heart a social service project in which our students earned money for the American Heart Association. This project combined health and physical education with faith and fun. It was great to see the kindergarteners and eighth graders jumping together to help others in need. The students raised over $2000 dollars for the Heart Association and really showed how healthy and holy they are!
Please join us at First Friday Mass March 5th at 10:30 or Stations of the Cross at 1:30. Our students truly are growing in their faith this Lent.

NEED TUITION HELP? We are blessed to have some financial aid available
to our most deserving students through two sources.
- St. Alphonsus Parish: Parishioners Service Scholarships and Financial Need Scholarships
- Deadline is May 1, 2010.
- All applicants must verify information, income and be approved by Fr. Enrique.
- Please pick up an application in the office.
- Catholic Education Foundation from the Archdiocese: Financial Need Scholarships - $800 for each child (must meet guidelines)
- Deadline: March 23, 2010.
- It is imperative these forms be turned in on time, as the Foundation absolutely does not accept late applications.
- All applicants must verify information and income.
- Please call me to set up an appointment. If you haven’t received a scholarship form, please come by the office a.s.a.p. and pick one up!
Important Upcoming Events:
- March 4th- Talent Show Try-outs for 4th through 8th grades 3:15-4:15
- March 5th - First Friday Mass at 10:30am & Stations of the Cross 1:30pm
- March 8th to March 12th - Book Fair! Show your Children how important reading is! Join them at the Book Fair!
- March 9th - Spring Pictures SMILE!
- March 12th - After-School Dance Class begins! Please see flyer in Parents Page or Wednesday Family Envelope
- March 14th - Parish School Mass and Breakfast, Rummage Sale, Recruitment Do you need to do your 2 hours of recruitment? Call the office to schedule.
- March 17th – All accounts must be up to date.
Thank you parents who are up to date financially! All accounts, including Fundraisers, Tech Fee and Book Fee MUST be up to date by March 17th.
We need your financial responsibility for the benefit of the students. Attendance WILL be suspended on March 18th for those families that are not up to date. Please call me to resolve any issues. Thank you!
